Preston Primary

I spent a manic but wonderful World Book Day day at Preston Primary and was lucky enough to get to work with every class through the school .

The younger children produced ink blot animal masks and monster butterflies, and the older years enjoyed workshops in ‘The Picture Book Process’

I really enjoyed reading to the younger years from my book ‘Magical Menagerie’ and seeing who could make the best animal sounds.

Quotes from Teachers and Pupils at Preston Primary during World Book Day:

“It was a wonderful opportunity for different age groups to experience using various artistic styles and media”.

“We loved making the masks”

“Fantastic opportunity to see art effects in print and then explore how to reproduce these”
