I am a freelance artist and illustrator creating my own unique art illustrations and prints as well as bespoke commissions for individuals and businesses. I also work full time on my collaborative design business called Sas and Yosh. Creating cool wallpaper, homewares and bespoke design for textiles and other lovely things.

Getting lost in a good book, whether it be diving into a great story or losing myself in the detail of a beautiful illustration has always been one of my favourite preoccupations.
Having the chance to put my own words into stories and my own pen to paper to create children’s books on my recent MA has been a real adventure into my imagination.
Whenever possible I am also a far flung traveller and hoarder of objects and scrappy travel journals.
I am drawn to colour and revel in fine line and detail, taking particular inspiration from Japanese art and patterns from all cultures.
I like to create my work with a sense of spontaneity creating dozens of colourful backgrounds before I choose which ones to work into, creating images with a mix of different media. I also love writing and am enjoying flexing my story telling muscles.
In my other work I love putting quirky and whimsical elements in to my art, and often work with a theme. Some of which have included Victorian Circus, Geishas, Robots and Strange beasts and Old Fashioned Erotic.

I exhibit and sell my work, and love to produce bespoke work on commission.
My most recent clients are PetitPA (website artwork), Celtic Krystal (poster art), Shin Kong Mitsukoshi (Halloween exhibition for Dept store Taiwan)
I also love coming into schools and putting on workshop days, creating art with students and talking about my profession. I have 10 years art teaching experience in both independent school and FE college. I have a PGCE and am a moderator for AQA GCSE and GCE Art and Design.
